State of the blog
We’re coming up on 50 posts here, so I thought I’d take this moment to pause and reflect. So far, the blog has been a mixed bag, I think - not all good, but mostly decent, and I’ve covered enough varied topics to assure I’ll never make any Adsense bucks. I guess that’s the price one pays for eclecticism.
I would like some more readers, since it seems I can count my current crowd on one hand and a half. But no worries, that all comes with time, and regular posting.
Which brings me to my final point, which is that I’m starting a new gig this morning. According to the ancient and hallowed traditions of blogging that have been handed down to us from our forebloggers, I will not be mentioning my employer, but I will do my best to keep the regular posting up.
I wish you all a happy Tuesday.

Hope everything goes all Right with the gig. Your blog has lurkers who may push the audience beyond your 10 finger counting ability.

New gig = selling out to the man?
Your comments about NY egotism are indicative of your Chicago roots. I enjoy the blog. Keep it up, it gets a little boring at work once in a while (ok, a lot).

Congrats on the new “gig”.
(I’m never sure if the end quote should go after the period or before so I’ll do type it both ways)
Congrats on the new “gig.”
You can count me as a bloglurker. I definitely think you’ll have to utilize toes for counting in short order.

DT - interestingly, my new gig is fighting the man. no, seriously. the establishment is going down, to be replaced by the revolution. I only wish I were joking. some day we’ll sit down and have a drink in private, and I’ll tell you all about it.
Chris - thanks, and actually you can do the period thing both ways, it just depends on what continent you’re on. in the states, inside the quotes… in the UK, outside (and use single quotes)
